Q. What is the difference between United Kingdom and Great Britain?
A. The United Kingdom is made up of the countries of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Its full name is United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Great Britain, on the other hand, comprises only England, Scotland and Wales. It is the largest island of the British Isles. Northern Ireland along with the Irish Republic form the second largest island which is Ireland.

The Isle of Man and the Channel Islands are not part of the United Kingdom. They are largely self-governing with their own legislative assemblies and systems of law. The British Government is, however, responsible for their defence and international relations.
Q. I am interested in working in the UK and have the necessary qualifications – what is the next step?
A. E-mail your CV to info@corp-part.com as soon as possible. State how quickly you can come to the UK. You will have to have access to a printer and video conferencing facilities. Tell us about yourself in the first mail and we will respond the same day.
Q. How long does it take?
A. Applications take about four weeks once received by the UK authorities. When the Work Permit is approved we courier this to you via DHL. This takes another three days. You then have to comply with the formalities at a Deputy High Commission Office in your country. This includes a medical, interview and document checking. This can take up to ten days. You are then free to join us.
Q. Where do I get all the forms from?
A. All the necessary forms are sent to you in our information pack once your application is approved.
Q. What does all this cost?
A. It’s Free on our part. We do not charge for this service as we are recruiting you to our team. However, work permit applications are costly in time and to ensure you are serious we do insist on a commitment from you in the form of a small returnable security deposit. This is repaid upon either your arrival in the UK or your WP refusal. There are small local charges for the actual visa stamping and perhaps a medical if the authorities require. These fees are paid directly by you to the authorities and of course we have no control over these.
Q. Do I have to give up my passport?
A. No. We do not take passports as security.
Q. What is it like in the UK at this moment?
A. The UK economy is strong and times are generally good. The IT industry is buoyant and there are many opportunities to progress one’s skills in all areas.
Q. What salary do you offer?
A. Your salary is dependent on your experience and qualifications. It will be more than sufficient to sustain your stay in the UK.
Q. What about transport?
A. When you arrive in the UK you are met by our company representative, who will take you to one of our guesthouses. Once you have an assignment you will re-locate nearer to the site office and in most cases this will be close to your work place. We arrange all these matters.
